IRAN – DUBAI
After Shiraz we took a bus to Bandar Abbas in anticipation to go to the islands Qishm and Hormuz but sadly the weather changed so we decided to take the ferry for Dubai and leave Iran with our friends Hans and Christa. At the customs in the harbor we were pleased to see Simon and Felix again who just came from the islands with another German friend and another German cyclist joined us. Also we were surprised to see twelve(!) German and Swiss camper vans who were on an organized tour through the Middle East including Saudi Arabia!
I had planned to take a break and fly home to visit my 95 year old mum who had had an unfortunate accident at home but because also our daughter April managed to break her ankle in Switzerland just before starting her seasonal job in Hautes Nendaz, Michele also decided to help April out and fly to Switzerland. So everything changed and we had 4 weeks in Europe.
