Before entering the city we came through a lovely area alongside the Danube. A path mostly covered by trees and interesting houses and sportclubs in nice settings. At one part there were beaches, and yes…beach bars. We stopped at one and had fresh fruit shakes beside tasty quasedilla’s while listening to some good music. It was a good start for what was coming.
The apartment we had booked appeared to be situated in a lively neighborhood near the centre. Most historic sites were within walking distance so that’s what we did. We booked another “Free Tour” and our guide Nori gave us a good idea about the city.
We had booked 3 days but extended it with another 2. We liked the apartment, the people, the food and of course all the beautiful historic sites.
