Day 1  Den Haag,  Nederland  82 km

At what became one of the wettest days of the year in Holland, we were warmly waved off by friends and neighbours at the start of our “Going East Tour”. A journey we have kept in the back of our minds for a long time. We have done some bike rides in Thailand, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland and many in The Netherlands but never for a longer period. This time, with our daughters now independent and therefore with no real attachments, we ride our bikes going east to all those places and cultures we have heard off but have never actually seen.
